Rated torque reaches 6.24 mN·m, while four winding versions cover 6V through 24V systems, giving OEM engineers room to balance available voltage, current demand, speed, and load requirements.
A planetary gearbox can be added when the mechanism requires lower output speed and higher transmitted torque, while photoelectric or magnetoelectric encoders are optional for projects requiring speed or position feedback. This allows the same motor platform to serve both simple two-wire brushed drives and more controlled actuator architectures without treating the encoder as a standard configuration.

The larger Ø22 mm frame gives the BDCB2225 more shaft-load capability than many smaller coreless motors, but correct alignment and transmission design remain important for controlling bearing load, vibration, and brush wear.
Higher Shaft Load Capacity
The sintered metal bearing supports a maximum dynamic axial load of 2 N and a maximum radial load of 15 N, measured 5 mm from the flange. These values should still be treated as motor-bearing limits rather than target continuous loads.
Bearing Clearance
Axial play is specified at 0–0.1 mm. Sintered metal bearing radial play is limited to 0.03 mm, while ball-bearing radial play is limited to 0.015 mm.
Gearbox Alignment
When a planetary gearbox is fitted, shaft concentricity and coupling alignment should be controlled carefully to avoid transferring additional radial or axial force back into the motor.
Encoder Integration
A photoelectric or magnetoelectric encoder is optional rather than part of the standard motor configuration. Encoder selection should be based on the required feedback resolution, controller interface, installation length, and environmental conditions.
Temperature Limits
The specified ambient temperature range is −20°C to +80°C, relative humidity should remain below 90% RH at 25°C, and rotor temperature should not exceed 125°C.
Load and Brush-Life Balance
Repeated high-current acceleration, frequent reversing, or extended operation close to the maximum-output region can increase brush and thermal stress. Actual duty cycle should therefore be validated in the complete actuator.

For a geared brushed actuator, motor selection should start with the required output-side speed and torque, then work backward through gearbox ratio, transmission efficiency, motor current, and feedback requirements.
